The hardness of the plastic is commonly measured with a Shore hardness testers, using either the Shore A scale that the scale Shore D. It 's the most widely used method for rubber and elastomers and is also used to detect the hardness of plastics more "soft" as polyolefins, fluoropolymers and vinyl. The Shore A scale is used for softer plastics, while the Shore D scale is used to harder plastics. These hardness testers are in compliance with DIN 53505, ASTM D2240, ISO/R868, JIS R7215.
